The Murdoch University MBA is offered in Perth through the School of Management and Governance. The School primarily offers courses in the areas of commerce and social sciences and has more than 100 staff and more than 7,000 students.

The MBA is taught at the South Street Campus, which is located about 15km south of the Perth CBD and 8km east of Fremantle. The campus is set in a beautiful bush environment and covers over 227 hectares, making it the largest campus in Australia.

Murdoch University has more than 22,500 students and over 2,600 staff, including 2,000 overseas students from around 100 countries studying in Perth and another 6,500 studying offshore.

Murdoch University MBA Program Structure

The Murdoch University MBA can be completed in as little as one year (with study in both semesters, summer and winter terms) or 1.5 years (with study over three semesters) or part -time equivalent. It also has the option of completing the study externally and has intakes twice a year.

International students complete the program over two years, with the option of fast-tracking to one year, or the equivalent at an overseas location.

There are 36 credit points in total, consisting of eight core subjects and two electives. The core subjects (30 credit points) are:

  • Business, Society and the Environment
  • Leading the Engaged Enterprise
  • Strategies for Growth and Excellence
  • Business Finance
  • Accounting for Managers
  • Quantitative Research for Business
  • Qualitative Organisational Research

Students can choose from the following electives (6 credit points):

  • Organisational Behaviour and management
  • Entrepreneurship and Innovation Management
  • Strategic Marketing Management
  • Strategic Marketing Management
  • Strategic Research in International Markets
  • Health Policy and Governance

Entry Requirements

To qualify for admission to this course, applicants should:

  • Have completed a Bachelor’s degree (AQF Level 7) or higher or equivalent in any field
  • Have an IELTS score of no less than 6 (and all individual bands no less than 6)
  • Have at least two years’ relevant work experience.

Students must also meet Murdoch University’s basic English requirements.

Murdoch University MBA Fees*

Four of the core units cost an indicative fee of $5,820 per unit. Two core units and two electives required to complete the course cost $2,910. The total cost of the Murdoch University MBA is $35,640.
