AGSM Two-Year MBA Soars Into World’s Top Ten

AGSM @ UNSW Business School’s two-year, full-time MBA program has cemented itself as among the best in the world, securing eighth spot on the latest bi-ennial Forbes MBA rankings.

For the first time, AGSM@UNSW Business School’s two-year MBA has been ranked among the top 10 worldwide by Forbes. It comes a week after AGSM @ UNSW’s Executive MBA secured third place in the AFR BOSS MBA rankings.

The AGSM program was the only Australian MBA program to feature in the Forbes ranking. The top 10 include London Business School (UK) HEC Paris (France), IESE (Spain), CEIBS (China) and Esade (Spain).

The rankings assess MBA programs in three categories – US Schools, International One-Year MBA and International Two-Year MBA.

The Forbes rankings have a unique approach to assessing MBA outcomes, based on the program’s financial “return on investment”. Schools are ranked solely on their “5-year MBA gain”, i.e. the net cumulative amount the typical alumni would have earned after five years by getting their MBA versus staying in their pre-MBA career.

Nick Wailes, Director AGSM and Deputy Dean UNSW Business School

“The AGSM Full-Time MBA program has again ranked among the world’s elite global management schools,” said Nick Wailes, Director AGSM and Deputy Dean UNSW Business School.

“Good career outcomes are fundamental to our programs – and financial return on investment is one of the ways we can measure their success.”

“We are equally invested in ensuring our graduates are equipped to contribute to a progressive society,” Wailes said. “We recruit a diverse cohort of highly motivated MBA candidates and deliver a contemporary program that sets them up to make an impact – to enhance their career opportunities, move into a new industry, or start their own business.”
