monash university mba 696wThe Monash University MBA is offered under two distinct streams – the Monash MBA for emerging professionals and the Monash Executive MBA (EMBA) for experienced professionals. Monash is the only University within the prestigious Group of Eight to have achieved triple accreditation for its Melbourne-based Business and Economics faculty.

Monash University MBA Location

The MBA programs are delivered at the Caulfield campus of Monash University (9 km from the centre of Melbourne). The campus has excellent public transport links to the CBD and the south-eastern suburbs and a multi-storey car park. The purpose-built MBA suite comprises lecture theatres, student lounges, reading rooms, syndicate rooms and breakout facilities, all equipped with wi-fi, computing and state of the art audio-visual technologies.

Monash University MBA Study Mode

The Monash MBA offers flexibility in course delivery. Academic units are delivered at the Caulfield campus over two years of study, allowing students to continue to work.

Monash University MBA Course Structure

The Monash MBA comprises 16 units of study, four of which form the corporate project. The academic program comprises:

  • Four core units incorporating critical thinking, strategy and leadership
  • Eight units in key business disciplines, including ethics and sustainability
  • The MBA culminates in the completion of a Study Tour and Experiential Learning Project, where students complete a set of studies in consultancy skills and work in syndicate groups on a real-world business problem.

Monash University MBA Entry Requirements

Minimum entry requirements for the Monash MBA include:

  • An Australian bachelors degree or an equivalent qualification
  • A minimum of five years work experience with at least three years of professional/managerial experience. Applicants will be ranked according to consideration of the following:

a) employment experience

b) the entire academic record (weighted average mark, WAM, of 65% or equivalent GPA preferred)

Monash University EMBA

The Monash EMBA offers a new approach to the development of graduates who are global, socially responsible and transformational corporate and community leaders. The course brings together experienced professionals, creating an environment where learning from co-students is a key component, complemented by input from alumni and industry figures.

The EMBA culminates in the completion of a syndicate group Community Corporate Project in a community or not-for-profit organisation, followed by an Individual Corporate Project, where students work with a host organisation on a real-world business problem and provide recommendations and a report to the Board. The design of the Monash EMBA is based upon a flexible approach, enabling students to continue to work full-time, with an expected absence of two days per month. Academic units are delivered in intensive block mode four days per month (Thursday – Sunday) for 15 months.

Monash University MBA Fees*

  • MBA Program: $61,200 (AUD) for Domestic Students and $65,400 (AUD) for International Students
  • EMBA Program: $80,000 (AUD) for Domestic Students and $84,000 (AUD) for International Students
