Australia’s Best Executive MBA Programs Revealed

Six Australian Executive MBA programs have been ranked the Top 100 in the world in the latest ranking by global business education specialist QS Quacquarelli Symond.

The 2025 edition of the QS Executive MBA Rankings includes 233 of the world’s best Executive MBA programs across 50 countries and territories. QS analyses several datasets to assess the quality of the world’s Executive MBA programmes. The full methodology can be found here.

Of the 32 schools in 11 Asia-Pacific (APAC) countries featuring in the ranking this year, three have risen, six have maintained the same position as last year and 18 fell. Five entered the ranking for the first time.

Melbourne Business School is Australia’s highest ranked institution at 25th and was ranked the third best in the region. UNSW @ AGSM was ranked 32nd and the University of Sydney Business School (33rd) and Monash Business School (74th) all made the top 100.

University of Sydney Business School entered the ranking at 33rd worldwide, placing joint first in the world for student gender ratio. Melbourne Business School rose five positions to enter the global top 25, while Monash Business School enters the ranking for the first time, placing at joint 74th RMIT University School of Business is the sixth best in the world in the diversity indicator, measuring number of nationalities and gender ratio in the classroom.

Singapore has the region’s two highest ranked institutions, with National University of Singapore Business School placing at 14th and Nanyang Business School 24th worldwide.

QS President Nunzio Quacquarelli said: “The Asia-Pacific region is home to 10 of the world’s top 50 executive MBAs, with Singapore only narrowly behind London for the number of institutions included among the global top 30. Australia continues to improve as a hub of executive MBA options, as Sydney and Melbourne both see three of their business schools ranking this year.

“In today’s interconnected business landscape, agility and cross-cultural competence are more vital than ever and leading Executive MBA programmes should continue to prioritise international diversity, strong career outcomes, and high-calibre cohorts to equip future leaders.”

Oxford (Said) remains in first place, followed by HEC Paris, which climbs to second, usurping IESE Business School which drops to third. MIT (Sloan) and London Business School remain fourth and fifth respectively. The US is the most represented country or territory, with 68 ranked business schools, followed by France with 13 and the UK with 11.
