Griffith, Uni Of Sydney Unveil New MBA Scholarship Partnerships

MBA scholarship season is in full swing with leading schools offering up a host of new scholarships for students intending to commence their MBA in 2017.

QBM Griffith MBA Responsible Leadership Scholarship

Griffith Business School has partnered with Queensland Business Monthly (QBM), a publication by the Courier-Mail focusing on the latest business news, to create a new MBA scholarship for students commencing in 2017.

The ‘QBM Griffith MBA Responsible Leadership Scholarship’ will complement existing MBA scholarships offered by Griffith Business School (GBS), including the MBA Scholarship for Women, MBA Scholarship for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples, and MBA Scholarship for International Students.

MBA Director Associate Professor Chris Fleming said the partnership with the QBM brand allows the business school to fulfil its mission statement of developing tomorrow’s globally responsible leaders.

Students undertaking these MBA programs and others will be eligible to apply for the $50,000 scholarship from August 26 until September 23.

“The selection process for the QBM Griffith MBA Responsible Leadership Scholarship will be very different to the typical process applied to other postgraduate scholarships,” Associate Professor Fleming said.

“It will be a competition whereby short-listed applicants will participate in a master class featuring lectures presented by key academic staff on topics aligned with the MBA’s core values of responsible leadership, sustainable business practices, and an Asia-Pacific focus.

“A panel of judges, including a Griffith MBA alumnus and key GBS and QBM staff, will then determine the finalists based on the essay submissions. Those selected will then have the opportunity to showcase their suitability for the scholarship via a video pitch,” he said.

Winners will be announced in the October edition of QBM, to be published on October 28, with a feature article on the winner.
