Newcastle Business School Re-Achieves Prestigious EQUIS Accreditation

University of Newcastle

The University of Newcastle’s (UON) Newcastle Business School has reaffirmed its status as one of the world’s top business education providers after being awarded re-accreditation from the prestigious European Quality Improvement System (EQUIS).

Awarded by EFMD Global, EQUIS is one of the most highly regarded international accreditations for business schools. It recognises institutions that demonstrate excellence in teaching, impactful research, international reach, industry engagement, and a commitment to ethical, responsible, and sustainable management education.

The University of Newcstle offers two MBA programs: a two-year, $63,120 Global MBA designed for students with a Bachelor degree in any discipline but with little or no work experience and an 18-month full-time MBA.

The re-accreditation positions Newcastle Business School among an elite group of global institutions to hold this coveted recognition. Fewer than 1% of the world’s business schools achieve EQUIS accreditation, highlighting the School’s continued dedication to maintaining world-class standards in education and research.

Newcastle Business School’s EQUIS recognition is a result of a rigorous evaluation process that assessed its academic programs, research output, international collaborations, and industry partnerships. The School’s focus on producing career-ready graduates and fostering a forward-thinking, inclusive learning environment was also highly commended.

“The re-accreditation is a testament to the outstanding work of our staff, students, alumni and partners,” a spokesperson for the School said. “It reflects our deep commitment to innovation, real-world impact, and preparing future leaders for a rapidly evolving global economy.”

With a strong emphasis on ethics, sustainability, and industry relevance, Newcastle Business School continues to strengthen its global reputation and open new opportunities for students and researchers alike.

This milestone reaffirms the University of Newcastle’s place on the international stage and signals its ongoing mission to deliver high-quality, globally recognised business education.
