The Sydney Business School MBA is offered through the graduate school of the Faculty of Business at University of Wollongong. The School offer a range of postgraduate business programs including an MBA, MBA (Advanced) and MBA (Executive).

Program are delivered from campuses located at Circular Quay in Sydney, and Wollongong and are designed for individuals seeking to expand their expertise, build their professional excellence or enhance their leadership capabilities.

The Sydney Business School was the first Australian business school to be accepted into the Global Business School Network, which aims to educate local managers and entrepreneurs in the developing world. As part of the network, which consists of 55 leading business schools spanning 26 countries, UOW’s Sydney Business School is committed to sharing best practices and strengthening business education for emerging markets. The network provides the School and its alumni, including those from Malaysia, with a wealth of networking opportunities across the globe.

The Sydney Business School established its first campus in South East Asia, in Malaysia, in late 2013.

University of Wollongong MBA Program Structure

The MBA can be completed in 1.5 years full-time or part-time equivalent and is available in Wollongong or the School’s Sydney CBD campus.

The MBA comprises 12 subjects including one elective subject.

The MBA (Advanced) program offers students the opportunity to further specialise in their area of interest by completing additional elective subjects. Specialisations are available in Supply Change Management, Project Management, Finance, Accounting, Human Resource Management, and Marketing.

The two-year Master of Business Administration Executive (EMBA) delivers an integrated suite of sophisticated theoretical and professional capabilities for executives, those aspiring to executive positions, and entrepreneurs.  The program is taught on an intensive mode over long weekends, including a residential weekend. The program also includes an intensive two-week offshore component

University of Wollongong MBA Entry Requirements

Applicants need a recognised bachelors degree, in any major, with an average mark of 50%, together with three years’ full-time relevant professional or managerial experience, or part-time equivalent, and a one-page Statement of Motivation*.

Applicants may also be eligible to study an MBA through the University of Wollongong if they have:

  • A recognised Graduate Diploma or Graduate Certificate, together with five years’ full-time relevant professional or managerial experience, or part-time equivalent, and a Statement of Motivation*.

Or

  • A full membership of a qualifying professional body.

Applicants with other relevant tertiary qualifications and/ or substantial relevant professional or managerial experience will also be considered for entry.

* The Statement of Motivation should be no more than one page, written in English, and address: your motivation for studying the MBA with the Sydney Business School, University of Wollongong; and how the degree will help achieve your career goals and aspirations.
