More than 200 past and present professors, students and staff celebrated 40 years of The University of Western Australia’s Master of Business Administration (MBA) at a reunion dinner held earlier this month.

Dr Michael Chaney AO, who graduated with a UWA MBA in 1980 and is now Chair of National Australia Bank and Woodside, was presented with a Business School Alumni Award at the event.

Dean of the UWA Business School, Winthrop Professor Phil Dolan, highlighted the significant contributions and achievements of MBA staff and students.

“Today, as we celebrate 40 years of the MBA, the UWA Business School continues to attract and support high achievers and successful leaders who will join the ranks of the more than 3,500 UWA MBA alumni,” Winthrop Professor Dolan said.

“On behalf of the UWA Business School and our many MBA graduates, I would like to thank everyone who has contributed to the success of this degree. You have helped create and shape an MBA which holds a special place not only in the hearts of staff and students, but also in the history and future of the Business School, the wider university and the global business community.”

The MBA 40th Anniversary Reunion Dinner was held on 3 October 2013 at The University Club of Western Australia. Photographs from the evening can be found here.
